Volunteers are needed at the Welcome Center at Forest Run MetroPark. The Welcome Center provides a quiet interior space for visitors. Volunteers will help host guests, collect bird data, and help stock bird feeders. Training provided.

The mission of MetroParks of Butler County is to provide a superior park system that maximizes the community’s quality of life through conservation, education and recreation.

Description

MetroParks of Butler County was established in 1955 for the purpose of preserving and restoring areas of outstanding natural significance within the county. MetroParks offers active recreational opportunites such as hiking, walking and jogging, fishing, boating, camping in a wide variety of beautiful and convenient settings. There are also opportunites for historical and conservation education, with historical sites and natural areas- 3000+ acres, 10 openly active parks, 18 miles of hiking trails, 22 reservable shelters, a conference center.
