The Austin State Supported Living Center is a residential campus for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are looking for volunteers to help with our new Music and Memory program that uses individually picked music from a resident's past to spark memories and induce positive reactions. The joy you bring them by giving back their favorite music is a lifeline to their best memories.
Volunteers will help residents to use Ipods with music that has already been chosen for them and downloaded. The ideal time commitment is one hour 1-3 times per week. Training will be provided.
