I. Project
The Words Alive Marketing and Communication Intern will be focused on supporting Social Media and marketing outreach for the Development and Marketing Department. This person will utilize Hootsuite to create and schedule posts to help Words Alive achieve our marketing goals.
Bolster reputation as subject matter expert (SME) in community literacy programming, primarily among community & education partners to drive fee for service programs.
Create awareness for fee for service offerings among community & education partners and potential partners.
Engage donor & philanthropic base
Engage Volunteers
This person will also work with staff to create monthly newsletters utilizing Constant Contact. Our goal is to create a brand calendar that will support future marketing efforts and streamline the work that we are doing around a strategic plan.
I I. Deliverables and benefit to the program
Social Media: Schedule daily posts to support 4 marketing goals and promote special events.
Newsletters: Draft monthly donor newsletter and support scheduling of all newsletters going out.
Website: Update website to reflect current events and support 4 marketing goals.
Brand Calendar: Create brand calendar for Words Alive to support overall marketing goals.
Special Event Outreach: Contact loc al media with press releases and outreach to support special events.
