As an eco-volunteer in France, you will help safeguard area bird ecosystems threatened by human activity. This project focuses on improving the environmental conditions in wetlands and natural reserves around the country where urban development has caused disruption to migratory patterns, issues with breeding, and in some cases, even injuring or endangering the lives of the birds.
Volunteers will assist with:
- Caring for threatened & endangered species, especially wild birds
- Monitoring the health of animals & birds in the rescue center for eventual release back into the wild
- Restoring natural sites by planting native plant species or trimming & pruning existing ones
- Building new park infrastructure, such as fences and gates
