Girls Inc. of NYC's Astoria site is looking for energetic interns who are interested in event planning and fundraising. The ideal candidate will be hard working, have some previous experience in event planning and/or fundraising and be willing to learn more in these fields.
Position will begin on July 12, 2016 and will last until the event day on October 1, 2016. Interns will work anywhere between 5-10 hours per week depending on schedule.
This is an unpaid position. Internship credits may be available for college students.

Description
Girls Incorporated of New York City delivers educational programs during the school day and out of school time at schools, libraries, community organizations and city agencies. Our programs engage girls in interactive workshops that break gender stereotypes and focus on health, sexuality, media literacy, economic literacy, career development, violence prevention, science, technology and sports.
We also train youth development professionals in the areas of gender equity and program design.
