ORGANIZATION: PROJECT MAIN STREET INC

  • 7 people are interested

Looking for 1 or 2 people who are savvy about social media. Ideally, at least one of them will also be knowledgable about business/marketing uses of social media, including paid posts. You would manage daily posts that can be scheduled ahead of time on various social media. You can choose the media you know well, or use something like Hootsuite to manage across various platforms. You don't necessarily have to write the content. (Writing and phone video are listed as separate volunteer positions, but the coordinator has that option.) Posts will be about our food, which incorporates some local food, and about the inspiring people who work, eat, or volunteer at our non-profit restaurant. Editing and proofreading skills would be helpful, but not required. We want to hear your ideas.

Our survival is at stake. Because downtown construction will close our street for most of the summer, we hope customers who support our mission will order takeout (we deliver) or walk a few blocks to get to us. Social media will be vital to keep them engaged.

If you'd prefer to work as part of a team, this could be a great position for 2 friends who back each other up, a parent and teen (maybe homeschoolers?), or as a pro bono project for a professional who is willing to supervise a college student, etc.
