Description:The Volunteer Social Media Team will assist Hagley's Volunteer Manager, Marketing Manager, and Social Media Intern in creating videos highlighting various events, exhibits, and everyday life at the museum and library. The videos will be posted on Hagley's various social media accounts and platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. The videos will be used to attract visitors to the museum and encourage community members and groups to volunteer here. Videos should be of professional quality with b-roll, photos, sound, and talking heads included.
Outcomes:Creating engaging videos that go viral! With each video, we want our presence on social media to grow, resulting in more likes, comments and shares on Facebook and Twitter and more views on YouTube. We'd like to see our Facebook likes grow to at least 5,000 by the end of the year. (We are currently at 3,587) and our Twitter followers increase to 3,500 (We currently have 2,774). Videos will help us to attract new fans on social media and spread the word about all the great things going on at Hagley!
Physical Requirements:Must be able to shoot video or photo from a variety of angles, including kneeling, sitting, laying down, etc.
Skills:Ability to think creatively and meet deadlines. Organized. A team player who works well with others. Friendly and approachable.
Qualifications/Training:Interest in making high-quality videos (prior experience is a plus but not necessary); Photo experience (for use in videos) is also a plus. Equipment will be provided but volunteers can also use their own if they'd like. The marketing manager will work with the volunteers to ensure the videos are consistent with the Hagley voice. Supervision and any assistance will be provided by the marketing manager with the assistance of the volunteer manager.

Description
Located on 235 acres along the banks of the Brandywine River in Wilmington, Delaware, Hagley is the site of the gunpowder works founded by E. I. du Pont in 1802. This example of early American industry includes restored mills, a workers' community, and the ancestral home and gardens of the du Pont family.
Hagley's library furthers the study of business and technology in America, especially the Middle Atlantic region. The collections include individuals' papers and companies' records ranging from eighteenth-century merchants to modern telecommunications and illustrate the impact of the business system on society.
The Center for the History of Business, Technology, and Society organizes and administers the Hagley Museum and Library's interaction with the world of scholarship. It brings attention to Hagley's research collections and generates intellectual dialogue at Hagley.
