As a Data Entry Volunteer for Horizon, you will be of great help assisting our Grief Resource Center with your Data Entry skills. Tasks can include data entry, filing, assisting with mailings, scanning, or helping assemble patient welcome packets. Both day and evening support is needed at the Horizon Grief Resource Center and administrative offices in Milwaukee. Excellent organizational skills and a desire to help patients will make a volunteer successful in this role!

We are a professional team of 550+ employees and 150+ volunteers who make a loving difference in the lives of more than 2,500 patients and families throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. More about Our Local Non-Profit Horizon Home Care & Hospice was established in 1990 and today serves as the second largest full service home care agency and hospice in Wisconsin. We are a local, non-profit organization sponsored by Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital and Columbia St. Mary's Hospital.

Hospice volunteers at Horizon serve in many different ways:
They feed our patients. They reposition our patients. they befriend and love our patients.
They offer respite and reassurance to our caregivers.
They run errands, cut lawns, and mop floors in patient homes.
They deliver a friendly smile and a meal to our homebound.
They file papers and send out mailings for numerous Horizon departments.
They serve at agency events.
They arrange flowers - hundreds and hundreds of flowers each and every week.
They welcome our bereaved in the Grief Resource Center and offer a coffee, pastry and listening ear.
They are on-call to be present for those who are actively dying.
They respect and support our staff.
As you can see, our volunteers do a lot for our organization. Come serve with us - you'll be so happy that you did.
