Pets make wonderful volunteers. Your animal can have a positive impact in a terminally ill patient's life. Touching and petting animals has such a calming influence. A visit from a pet and their volunteer owner can spark conversations and wonderful memories of the past. If your pet is not certifies we can direct you to KPETS to assist you to get them certified. We will train you to visit the patient with your animal. We do require background checks and a two step PPD test.

We ask for at least a six month commitment and the volunteer time is a minimum of 1-3 hours a month. Come join our great community of volunteers with your pet and be a part of a wonderful outreach right in your neighborhood.
