Pets make wonderful volunteers. Your animal can have a positive impact in a terminally ill patient's life. Touching and petting animals has such a calming influence. A visit from a pet and thier volunteer owner can spark conversation and wonderful memories of the past. If your pet is not certified we can direct you to the KPETS to assist you to get them certified. We will train you to visit with the patients. We do require background checks and a two step PPD test.

Founded in 1993, Compassionate Care Hospice is a community based organization committed to providing the highest quality of hospice care to patients, families and close friends. We care for terminally ill patients with a wide range of end stage illnesses.
