About

Local, Micro Volunteering at its best! Eldernet of Lower Merion and Narberth is seeking local volunteers to be matched with an elderly or younger disabled adult who lives nearby, to take on bi-weekly shopping trips. The shopping trips can be scheduled during weekdays, early evenings, or on the weekends.

Some of the people our volunteers take shopping prefer to be dropped off at the grocery store to shop alone, while others enjoy having help while walking through the store. Most will need help lifting the groceries into and out of the car, and to their front door or kitchen.

This type of assistance is so appreciated by our clients! It can be instrumental in helping them to remain in their home and to retain independence. It is a very local and tangible form of volunteerism! Call or email Liz Hill at ehill@eldernetonline.org, 610-525-0706.
