Adoption Events are our way of helping our rescues find forever homes and for fundraising. We also get the opportunity to educate people about the rescue world and the number of strays on Houston Streets. Most people don't know that Houston has over one million strays. Did you know too, that for every dog you adopt you save two lives? How you ask? Well the one you adopted is saved and you make room to help another. Awesome isn't it!? Adoption events help would be assisting with set up and take down of kennels, tables, literature, etc. We also need people to stay and talk to potential adopters, fosters, and volunteers, help walk the dogs, keep kennels clean, etc. It is a great opportunity to meet new people and help edcuate. Of course there would always be a senior Corridor rescue volunteer to oversee and help. Without adoption events our dogs have less of a chance of being seen and finding their forever homes. Currently we have events once a month on a Saturday from 12-4. Dates vary depending on transport help.
