The Wildlife Science Center is looking for volunteers to assist staff with daily animal care. Primary duties include feeding, watering, cleaning enclosures, processing road-killed deer, and general maintenance of the grounds. WSC is home to wolves, bears, lynx, small mammals and raptors.

Mission Statement

The mission of WSC is to serve as an educational resource for all ages; by: providing exposure to wild animals and the body of knowledge generated for their conservation;to advance understanding of wild animal biology through long-term, humane scientific studies on captive populations, thus contributing to technical training for wildlife agencies, educational institutions and conservation agencies.

Description

A 501(c)(3) organization, the Wildlife Science Center offers programs focused on education for children and adults alike about the importance of conservation of our natural resources. In addition, we also conduct studies in support of the survival of critically endangered predators, train wildlife professionals from all over the world, and partner with the US Fish and Wildlife Service on the recovery of the Mexican Gray Wolf and the Red Wolf. The Wildlife Science Center is home to many wild animals such as foxes, cougars, owls and other raptors, lynx, bears and the largest resident wolf population in the United States. Many of the resident animals find sanctuary with the WSC as they would be unable to survive in the wild.

The Wildlife Science Center offers programs that educate children and adults alike about the importance of conservation of our natural resources.
