Member Duties : The Refugee Economic Development VISTA will focus on developing support for economic development activities for refugee families participating in LSI’s urban agricultural, child care business development, and matched savings programs as well as enhancing the new Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. Specifically, the VISTA member will work to improve business and financial training and resource connection for farmers, child care providers, matched savings participants and other aspiring business owners. The VISTA member will work to increase the quality and awareness of the Global Greens Farmers’ Market and Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program in the community while also developing training and other resources that build capacity for LSI’s Economic Development Program participants.
