Responsible to support the CEO in researching potential grant opportunities and writing the applications. The grant will be targeted towards Foundations & Corporate Philanthropic giving.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Research potential funding opportunities from Foundations and the Corporate sector
2. Writing template submissions for internal review
3. Manage administrative tasks as they pertain to grant applications
4. Undertake any other duties which may from time to time
5. Ability to adapt writing style and the pitch to different audiences

The World Literacy Foundation is a USA registered independent charitable organization 501(c)(3). Our primary objective is to address the growing rate of illiteracy in disadvantaged communities, specifically among children from low income backgrounds. We believe that reading in the early years is vital to unlocking the door to a life of learning and overcoming poverty. Through our programs, at-risk children are getting the support they desperately need to not only learn to read, but build confidence and believe in their ability to succeed at school and in life. The World Literacy Foundation is also committed to raising awareness of the literacy challenges facing the world to help galvanize actions and initiatives that will improve global literacy standards.
