About

Volunteer Art Teacher Assistant: Preschool, Elementary, and High School Art Programs

We are looking for excellent volunteer assistant art teachers to help with our art programs at Fishtown Recreation Center, Towey Recreation Center, and Shissler Recreation Center.

Preschool classes will focus on mark-making, paint, stamps, sensory projects, stories, and music.

Elementary after-school classes will focus on writing and creating Claymation videos.

High School classes will focus on mural painting.

Join our team of passionate volunteers and help us make a difference in students’ lives by providing engaging art lessons. Interested applicants should be willing to assist teachers by helping with lessons, working with kids, and taking photos of student work.

Plan to attend an orientation meeting on Thursday, January 19, from 4pm-6pm at Starbucks on the corner of 4th and South St. (on the second floor). RSVP to kristy.artsphere@gmail.com


Requirements:

  • Commitment of 2 hours, once a week

  • Transportation and ability to arrive promptly

  • Background/Interest in art/design/teaching
