Volunteers of America Texas is a faith-based, nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the vulnerable reach their full potential. We are in search of a passionate and dedicated individual to facilitate 12-step meetings with men and women at our Avenue J community re-entry program in Ft. Worth.
The 12-step facilitator will be responsible for leading Alcoholics Anonymous and/or Narcotics Anonymous meetings for a small group of men or women. Sessions last for approximately one hour. Group size will vary based on client participation. Volunteer must have previous experience with AA or NA support group and must be at least 1 and a half years sober.
Avenue J is a re-entry program for men and women exiting in the Federal Bureau of Prisons. This program works with clients to help them successfully re-enter the community following their release. The 12-step facilitator will assist in this process by helping the men and women with substance abuse treatment.
