ROBINSON RANCH is a non-profit 501(c)3 therapeutic riding facility located at the base of South Mountain in Phoenix, AZ. We offer an annual camp component which is for our able bodied & therapeutic camper. It is a coed, noncompetitive, resident camp for ages 5 - 17 (Parents & siblings are encouraged to accompany campers).
Our 2018 camps are located in Tombstone AZ (June 29 - July 1, 2018), Skull Valley, AZ (June 1-3, 2018) and Camp Verde, AZ (July 27-29, 2018). The camp season consists of staff orientation prior to each camp, 3 weekends of children's camp, and one weekend of family camp (Tombstone, AZ).
COUNSELORS are the core of the camp staff. Candidates should be FLEXIBLE, creative, patient, caring, enthusiastic, and have a genuine concern for children. Counselors supervise, lead, guide, and live with campers each weekend of camp (in bunkhouses, cabins or traditional tents under the stars). They also teach activities (see list below). These positions require enthusiasm, maturity, creativity, ability to follow directions and a strong commitment to children. Candidates must be at least age 18 and have graduated from high school before January 1, 2016.
JUNIOR COUNSELORS ALSO WELCOME. Junior Counselors must be at least 15 years of age and have at least a B average in school. For more information, please call Robinson Ranch and ask for John Robinson.
Instructors are needed for:Arts & Crafts, Archery, Field Games (ie 3 legged race, sack race, water balloon toss) Swimming, Paddle Boating, Fishing, Basic Horsemanship, Team Building Activities, Nature Hike & Tree House Adventure. We also need individuals to assist the onsite chef with cooking, setup, serving and cleanup.
