Domestic Violence Intervention Services (DVIS) is always looking for passionate community members who want to dedicate their time and energy to serving those affected by domestic violence and sexual assault. Our volunteers serve a variety of roles in our organization, from assisting victims at the hospital during sexual assault exams to representing DVIS in the community at agency fairs and other events. Our volunteer program lasts at least one year and is a supervised program with a comprehensive training component as mandated by the Attorney General.

Our volunteer opprotunities include:

* CHILD CARE- Help supervise clients’ children while they utilize DVIS’ services
* COURT ADVOCATE- Assist victims in completing protective order petitions and other paperwork
* OFFICE ASSISTANT/ADMIN- Assist in office with various tasks
* AGENCY FAIRS- Represent DVIS at community and corporate events
* SEASONAL- Help with annual holiday program

In 2015, DVIS provided services for over 10,000 people in the Tulsa area in a variety of areas, including counseling, advocacy, and housing. However, none of this would be possible without the hard work and dedication of our volunteers. For more information on volunteering with DVIS call 918.508.2705, email shamon@dvis.org, or visit our website www.dvis.org.
