ORGANIZATION: Lutheran Social Service of MN

Connect for Kids is a week long program that connects children (ages 6-13) living in an orphanage in China, with volunteers (18+) who commit to serving as advocates helping to find permant adoptive families.

Volunteers will travel as a group to China. Throughout the week volunteers will engage children in fun and interesting activities. This program is an opportunity to open the door to a permanent family as well as a week long pause from the daily routine of the orphanage.

Description

LSS is the largest, statewide non-profit social service agency in Minnesota with over 2, 400 employees who serve in 300 communities. It is owned by the six Minnesota synods of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Services are divided into four divisions:
