* Engage in outreach to recruit, train, and manage volunteers

* Work with the Literacy Coordinator to develop and implement pilot programs including 1.) drop-in literacy labs, and 2.) a jail-based program for women

* Assist the instructor in developing work-readiness literacy curriculum for current classes at MI Works and EXIT

* Make regular presentations to clubs, churches, businesses, and public facilities to support the recruitment of new learners and volunteers while building awareness of the program

* Research and write grants to enhance the current programming

* Keep social media updated, as well as coordinating the publication of a quarterly newsletter
