We are looking to hire an experienced and talented leader to manage the company's overall media relations and industry analyst relations activities worldwide. This position will be responsible for developing, managing, and tracking a proactive media/industry analyst relations strategy in support of the company and its services. This individual needs to be a strategic thinker, able to prioritize many competing initiatives at once. With this position we are looking for a demonstrated track record in managing a proactive media relations department at a public company, including financial communications and corporate issues management. Specific areas of responsibility include general media/industry analyst relations, lead company spokesperson, financial communications, and staff/agency management. As part of this responsibility, this position will also supervise the company's proactive media relations editorial calendar and build a comprehensive "key relationships" program to align internal/external PR resources with key reporters. In addition, she/he will develop key talking points for all of products/services and is expected to have cross product knowledge. This person will provide high-level guidance and counsel to management in the area of media relations, evaluating in a discerning manner whether or not participating in specific media inquiries is appropriate and in the best interest of the corporate brand This professional will also work with the senior management team on an as-needed basis providing high-level training in the area of media interviewing and presentation skills development as a means of enhancing their abilities to conduct media interviews and serve as corporate spokespersons.
