Kara is an organization that offers emotional support and information to adults, teenagers and children who are grieving a death or coping with a life-threatening illness. We are hosting "Camp Erin", which is a free, weekend grief camp designed for children ages 6-17 who have experienced the death of a family member or friend. It's a 2 day/2 night camp filled with traditional fun camp activities combined with grief education and emotional support facilitated by grief professionals and trained volunteers.

The dates we need volunteers are:

Friday July 28 - 2pm to 5:30pm

Parking Attendants - We need (4) volunteers

This includes 2 attendants for parent parking and 2 drop-off.

*A meal will be included if you like. This is a great way to avoid traffic as you are welcome to stay for dinner.

Sunday, July 30 - 8am to 1pm - We need (12) volunteers

We need a team of volunteers to help pack / clean up camp. This would include a sweep of the camp to pick up any forgotten items, packing up the cars with camp supplies, helping clean up the dining hall after camp is over. Please note camp is on a bit of a hill, so there will be some walking/driving around involved and it’s likely to be hot. Camp Erin’s held at Camp Arroyo in Livermore.

*Our shift will run from 8:30 AM to roughly 1 PM and includes pancake breakfast, and a bag lunch :-)
