Hey college students! What are you doing this summer? Need some relevant work experience in Education, Human Services, Animal Sciences or Business Administration? Why not get that experience while volunteering in a fun program, teaching disabled children to ride horses? Join us at Project RIDE for a fun and easy volunteer experience with flexible scheduling and no miminum requirements. You don't need any experience, we'll train you. Located in easy to reach downtown Elk Grove.

Mission Statement

Since 1979, Project R.I.D.E. has provided recreational therapeutic horseback riding instruction to people with special needs. Our program is dedicated to the improvement of a rider's physical, mental, social and emotional well-being through interaction with specially trained horses and ponies.

Description

We provide therapeutic horseback riding instruction to people with special needs. Volunteers assist in the daily operation of our program including walking with students while they ride and managing horses safely.
