Catholic Social Services is looking for motivated and caring individuals to become a friend and companion to refugees that are resettling in the United States.
The goal of a Community Partner is to assist refugees in reaching economic self-sufficiency by providing:
- English tutoring
- Life skills
- Job readiness skills
- Acculturation experiences
We require all Community Partners to volunteer at minimum one hour per week for three months and to possess a level one Fingerprint Clearance Card from the state of Arizona

Description
Refugees are among the world's most vulnerable and displaced people. They are individuals and families that were forced out of their homeland due to persecution or the well-founded fear of persecution for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership in a social group or political opinion.
Our program emphasizes attaining self-sufficiency by learning English and obtaining employment of refugees.
