Give the gift of literacy this holiday season! CLC is looking for Volunteer Tutors to work with learners who are preparing for their high school equivalency tests, and need help to master subject area skills (reading, writing, math, social studies, science).

If you are comfortable working with a diverse population, and you have a desire to tutor, we invite you to become a CLC tutor today!

  • Tutoring hours are 9 am to 4 pm, Mondays through Thursdays.

  • Tutors must have a four year degree from an accredited school.

  • For GED(r) level tutors, content knowledge in one or more areas is desired. The test is four parts; Math, Reasoning through Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies.

  • Experience not necessary, CLC will train and supervise tutors.

To apply, please send your resume and a brief statement about why you are interested in tutoring to volunteer@communitylearningcenter.org.
