Volunteers will assist in the preparation of Ledge Creek Forest Conservation Area for its public opening at the end of 2016.
TRLC Trail Crew is a fun way to get outdoors and put in a good hard day’s work. Spend your day helping create a public space that people will enjoy for generations to come. Come be part of TRLC Trail Crew's first season!
Tasks include clearing trail corridor, raking, constructing bridges, removing invasive species, constructing an educational kiosk, and more.

Tar River Land Conservancy preserves the natural and cultural resources of the Tar River Basin and surrounding areas by working in partnership with private landowners, public agencies and others to protect rural land, riparian corridors and ensure clean water.
Description
Tar River Land Conservancy preserves the natural and cultural resources of the Tar River Basin and surrounding areas by working in partnership with private landowners, public agencies and others to protect rural landscapes and riparian corridors. Our service area includes Person, Granville, Vance, Franklin, Warren, Halifax, Nash and Edgecombe Counties. We work directly with landowners through the region to protect drinking water, wildlife habitat, farms, forests and recreational open space. We achieve our objectives by acquiring conservation land and permanent conservation easements and collaborating with other public and private entities on projects that achieve mutually beneficial land conservation objectives.
Usual tasks include:

- felling small trees
- removing debris
