About WNY WRECKERS

Location:

Mission Statement

The WNY Wreckers are upstate NY's only wheelchair rugby team.

Description

Founded in August 2013, the WNY Wreckers host approximately six practices per month in two locations. These practices are held year round. Through networking with established teams, the Wreckers were able to secure substantially used rugby wheelchairs in January 2014. More than 12 individuals have participated with the WNY Wreckers in the past nine months. This represents tremendous early interest considering the recent formation of the team in a region that did not previously have any participation in this intense sport.. The WNY Wreckers will be traveling to regional Quad Rugby tournaments during the fall/winter season.
