About

Volunteer Docent, "Zoo Talkers" are energetic, friendly, and well-spoken volunteers who enjoy "talking story" about the animals who call our zoo home and inspiring others to appreciate our living world. Share your knowledge and passion for animals with visitors from all over the world by staffing one of a network of mobile stations featuring hands-on animal and cultural bio-facts. For those 16+.

Jr. Leaders, teen program, offers hands on experience for those 15-18 years old to aid the education department in their Summer, Spring and Winter outdoor, science based, educational programs.

Keeper Assistants, aid keeper staff in maintaining grounds and exhibit space, aid in preparing diets and creating enrichment for animals in the keepers care. Please apply if 18 and over.

Training is provided. Minimum hours, shifts and minimum commitment dependent on volunteer opportunity. Please inquire for more information.
