Our staff play an important role in the care of our residents, but they aren't the only essential caregivers. Our residents also need mental stimulation to keep their minds healthy and companionship when they are away from their families. Volunteers are important in helping our residents feel at home. Providing friendship, guidance, and lending an ear all enhance the quality of live of our residents. As a volunteer you can: (1) Lead games and activities, such as cards or bingo, (2) get crafty, (3) make a new friend and provide companionship, (4) read aloud, and much much more! We are open to hearing your interests and developing something from there.
Our companionship program is something we are trying to really focus on. A lot of our residents just need someone they can talk to and someone that will listen to their stories. We would love to have people come regularly to meet with the same resident(s) and develop a relationship with them.
Being a volunteer with us is flexible. We will work with your available days/times and find something that fits!
