The Education Adventure Volunteer program offers summer, fall, and year-long volunteer opportunities. Each opportunity allows you to be a part of the B&O’s creative Education and Events Team. As an Education Adventure Volunteer you will have the opportunity to help design and engineer educational props, models, and mechanisms, gain hands-on teaching experience, and get a behind the scenes look at the unique educational approach of museum life.

What We’re Looking for:

We’re looking for creative and fun individuals with an interest in museum operations, education, engineering, creative design, and/or problem-solving. Interest in trains, travel, and railways is a plus! More candidate traits include:

 Eager to learn and share knowledge

Description

Comprised of the oldest and most comprehensive collection of railroad history in the Western Hemisphere, the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Museum, Inc. is a unique cultural and educational asset for the city and the region. An unparalleled roster of the 19th and 20th century railroad equipment, original shop buildings, and surviving tracks at the historic Mt. Clare site provide an integrated resource to present virtually every aspect of American railroad development and its impact on our society, culture and economy.
