Most Wednesdays throughout the year we ask community volunteers to come work with us in the Park Circle Butterfly Garden. This butterfly garden is located on the grounds of the Felix C. Davis Community Center at 4800 Park Circle. This is a great opportunity to volunteer while meeting others and improving your gardening skills.
Our next garden workday will be 2/8/17. This week we will be painting two arbors in the garden. Some experience with painting is desired.
We may be doing some gardening as well. No gardening experience is required to volunteer. The only requirement is that volunteers must enjoy working with others and working outside completing landscaping tasks in the garden. Hands on training will be provided during each volunteer event. We will be installing newspaper in one of the gardens to prevent weeds.
We have bottled water available for volunteers but please feel free to bring your own reuseable water bottle. Please wear closed - toed shoes and dress appropriately. You may need sunscreen or insect repellant depending on conditions.
Please come out and volunteer. The butterflies are waiting!
