KNCB will be having our weekly garden workday from 9-12 in the morning. Each week we work in the Park Circle Butterfly Garden and the areas surrounding the garden. The tasks include installing installing new plants, weed-barrier and pinestraw, deadheading flowers, watering, and completing other gardening task. No prior experience is necessary. We will also work in our supply room and start preparing cleanup supply bags for Clean Cities Sweep participants.

This is a great opportunity to learn new gardening skills and make new friends while helping to make KNCB community gardens beneficial for both our human guest and our wildlife ones. This is a great opportunity to volunteer.

You should dress comfortably, wear closed-toed shoes, bring insect repellant and sun screen. If you have gardening supplies you prefer to use please feel free to bring them. Otherwise, we have all the gardening tools you will need. We keep popsicles, bottled water, and have a water cooler if you have your own recyclable water bottle you would like to bring. Please watch the weather as the event will not take place if it is raining or too hot. You can email the day before to confirm the event or call the morning of the event at 843-745-1073. We get in the office at 6:30 am each morning.
