Visit Terminally ill patients in Vista, Oceanside and Carlsbad

Kindred Hospice

  • 23 people are interested

Bring comfort to the terminally ill patient. We have a few patients that live in a skilled nursing facility or in a home. Their family would like someone to read or just sit with the patient to provide companionship and socialize. These individuals are isolated due to their illness and would benefit from engagement with someone. Volunteers complete the application process, including a urine drug screen and background check, and then are provided training. Documentation of visits and communication make you a part of a multidisciplinary team caring for the patient. Please help.
