Hospitality House is looking for new volounteers! Help us help the homeless!
Hospitality House is a resource center/daytime shelter available for homeless individuals. At Hospitality House, we service a multittude of guests with many different needs.
We are looking for volunteers to assist our clients and staff with a variety of tasks. Duties may include: helping clients with resume building and housing applications, searching for job and housing leads, clerical work, organization, and providing general assistance. Ideal volunteers would meet the following criteria:
- proficient in basic computer programs including Microsoft
- willing to commit 2-4 hours/week
- organized, reliable
- positive attitude!

Description
Porchlight was created in 2004 by the merger of two well-established and successful non-profit providers of emergency shelter and low-cost housing in Dane County: Community Housing & Services, Inc. (CHAS) and Transitional Housing, Inc. (THI)
Porchlight is the largest supplier of low-cost housing in Dane County and is comprised of an emergency shelter for men, Safe Haven (housing and intensive services for men and women suffering from serious mental illnesses), 172 single room or efficiency units and 55 family units.
