Volunteer will assist patients with non-medical needs including: providing warm blankets, reading material, or beverages, as directed by staff. Walk patients to x-ray and deliver supplies as needed to departments.
Assist with family member needs including: offering comfort and emotional support, guiding family to other areas such as cafeteria, or monitor children brought in with patient in emergencies. Frequently visit wait area to pay attention to guests needs for reading material, beverage, companionship or concerns. Take concerns to staff for direction on how to assist.
This is a great opportunity for premedical students. These shifts are now open
Friday 4-8 p.m and Sunday 4-8 p.m.
