ORGANIZATION: Riverside County- RSVP Program

  • ADMISSIONS/WILL CALL
Members of this committee will be responsible for selling tickets and assisting at Will Call locations, provide spectators with appropriate credentials and tickets at a pick-up/ drop off location, greet spectators upon arrival at the tournament, minimum of 3 to 5 days depending on course assignment (Wednesday through Sunday, hours may vary depending on shift assignment.
  • Marshal
gallery control for the tournament, ensures PGA TOUR safety and movement around the golf course, control spectator noise, control camera and cell phone usage, crowd control around tees, fairways, greens and ranges, must be in good physical condition, able to walk to-and-from their respective assignments, minimum 4 days (Wednesday through Sunday).

  • DRIVING RANGE/CLUBHOUSE
controlling access to properly credentialed guests, assisting players in movement around the driving range and practice greens, assist spectator, players and credentialed guests with directions throughout the clubhouse and venue, ensuring respectful and orderly behavior by members of the gallery, must be in good physical condition, must be able to stand for a majority of their shift, minimum if 4 days (Monday through Sunday, depending on course assignment).
  • HOSPTALITY
Assist with sponsor, contestant and guest relations, greet all guests and assist with answering questions, controlling access to properly credentialed guests, greet spectators/patrons upon arrival, scan tickets, direct spectators to various locations on and off tournament site, familiar with event site and golf course, minimum of 4 days (Wednesday through Sunday).

  • MERCHANDISE TENT
Will be assigned to one of three courses, walk with a different player group each day, some members will travel with same player group all three days of Pro-Am play, ensure no photos or videos are being taken anywhere on the course, communicate with spectators regarding the PGA TOUR cell phone policies, assist players when moving from green to tee ensuring gates and ropes are in use, assist other Marshals with gallery control on tees, fairways and greens, assist gallery by answering questions, give direction to spectators to designated Mobile Device Zones, must be in excellent health and physically able to walk 18 holes for 3 or 4 consecutive days, minimum of 3 to 4 full days, depending on course assignment (Thursday through Sunday).
  • MOBILE DEVICE
Members of this committee are assigned to walk with player groups. Most members will be assigned to one of the three courses and walk with a different player group each day. Some members will travel with the same player group all three days of pro-am play. Duties for all members will include: ensuring no photos or videos are being taken anywhere on the golf course, communicating with spectators regarding the PGA TOUR cell phone policies, assist the players when moving from green to tee ensuring that gates and ropes are in use, assist other marshals with gallery control on tees, fairways and greens. They will also assist the gallery by answering questions and directing spectators to designated Mobile Device Zones. Volunteers must be in excellent health and physically able to walk 18 holes for three or four consecutive days. Volunteers must also have good people skills. Team members are part of the marshal committee. Mobile Device volunteers must be available to work a minimum of three to four full days Thursday through Sunday depending on course assignment.

  • PLAYER SERVICES
Assist guests with tournament and community information, direct guests to tournament courses and events, assist with dining reservations and suggestions, assist with transportation, assist with spa arrangement, assist with Will Call requests, familiar with the Coachella Valley, basic knowledge of the game of golf, available to work a minimum of 4 days (Monday through Sunday).
  • Player Registration
Assist with distribution of credentials tickets and gifts, assist with event directions, tournament week activities, greet guests upon arrival, available to work full day shifts (Sunday through Wednesday 8am-4pm).
  • SHOTLINK

Be able to operate Shotlink devices. This device is used to record information about the players' shots and disseminates real-time scoring and statistical data, must attend Shotlink training sessions both in classroom and on course training to review the Shotlink system with a PGA TOUR representative, must be able to walk to and from their assignment each day, must be available to work 4 full days (Thursday through Sunday) at Stadium Course at PGA WEST only.


  • TRANSPORTATION
Players/VIP's transport PGA TOUR professionals, amateur players and VIP guests, their families and guests to various locations around the Coachella Valley, including-to-and-from Palm Springs airport, local private airport, tournament courses and host hotel, assist with transporting other volunteer utilizing 15 passenger vans, assist with preparing tournament fleet of courtesy cars, responsible for keeping assigned vehicle's gas tanks full, must have a valid Driver's License, 25 years or older, Player/VIP transportation volunteers must be available to work a minimum of 4 days (Sundays through Sunday AM or PM shifts), Drives transporting Volunteers must be available (Friday and Saturday pre-tournament week to work a minimum of 3 days (Thursday through Sunday AM or PM shifts).
  • WALKING SCORER
Scorers must enter information on each shot into an electronic palm-pilot, must be comfortable with technology, knowledge of the game of golf and score keeping, excellent health and physically able to walk 18 holes for 3 or 4 consecutive days, available to work 3 or 34 full days (Thursday through Sunday).
  • VOLUNTEER SERVICES
Distribution of credential and packets, uniform sizing and exchanges, additional purchases by volunteers, minimum walking or standing, indoor job, 4 days at PGA WEST Volunteer Headquarters (Thursday, Pre-tournament week to Sunday, end of tournament week).
