Rosemount Food Shelf Volunteer, Donated Food Pick up

We have volunteer opportunities to help us pick up donated food items (A.K.A. Rescue Food) from a local retail grocer in Rosemount and/or Apple Valley. Minimal exposure to other people. You will be asked to wear a mask throughout your shift and follow COVID safety protocols.

  • You will need to use your own vehicle and gas, plus carry insurance on your vehicle.
  • Be at pick up site on your scheduled day to pick up the donated food and immediately bring it back to the 360 Communities Rosemount Food Shelf to unload, weigh and put away in the appropriate temperature zone.
  • Must be able to lift up to about 40 pounds.
  • Time commitment may vary from week to week depending on the quantity of food the retailer is providing us. The average time commitment is 1- 2 hours per week.
  • Help unload, weigh and put away items in their appropriate temperature zones.
  • Training will be provided prior to volunteering.
Current Volunteer Shift Available:
Monday Mornings - beginning at about 9 am for approximately 1 - 2 hours, depending on the amount of food being donated each week. We are looking for one volunteer on this day. Pick up location is in Rosemount

Thursday Mornings - beginning at about 9 am for approximately 1 - 2 hours, depending on the amount of food being donated each week. We are looking for one volunteer on this day. Pick up location is in Apple Valley.
