We are looking for event day volunteers for our lung cancer run/walk located at Corporate Woods near Bldg. 40 on Oct. 29, 2017. Shifts are 7 - 11:30 am unless otherwise specified. We have the following roles available:

SETUP (Setup tables, chairs, pop up tents, post event banners and signs at site and along route. Some heavy lifting may be required.) 6:30 - 8 am (can move to another roel
PARKING (direct participants to available parking)
GREETERS (welcome participants, help them understand where to go, answer questions, explain event schedule)
PRE-REGISTRATION CHECK-IN (check-in previously registered participants)
REGISTRATION RUNNER (deliver event-day registration information to timers)
T-SHIRT PULLERS (pull appropriate quantity and size shirts for the volunteers checking in participants at registration)
EVENT DAY REGISTRATION* (Make sure registration forms are filled out completely and collect fee.
INSPIRATION STATION (assist with attaching signs to back of shirts as needed, assist in adhering temporary tattoos)
WATER STOP (fill water cups and hand to runners/walkers as they go by)
FOOD & BEVERAGE PREPARATION (unload, unpack and set food and beverages out on tables. Slicing of bagels, fruit, etc.)
COURSE MARSHALLS (direct runners/walkers along the route at questionable points, remind runners/walkers to keep to the right)
CHEERLEADERS (encourage and cheer for participants along route and at start/finish line)
FINISH LINE (keep order and guide participants to move so as not to block returning runners/walkers, remove & collect timing chips, if applicable)
CLEAN UP CREW** (Remove all trash from park and route, remove banners and signage at site and along route post-event. Load extra materials from event into cars. **Time frame for this position is 9:30 - 11 am on October 29, 2017.)

Our Free to Breathe event series hosts walks and yoga events across the country to raise awareness of the disease and raise funding critical to advancing our mission.
