The Graphic Design Intern will be involved with the branding and visuals for our CEO’s website (pamelahawley.com), blog (Living and Giving), and social media. The Intern will design brand new components and redesign pre-existing components. Our ideal candidate will have experience designing for online marketplaces, with a profound understanding of the user experience. Interns must be able to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment . This is a great opportunity to work directly with the CEO, gaining valuable skills and insight within a social entrepreneurship nonprofit organization.
As a UniversalGiving intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a diverse, passionate team representing over 25 cultures. Our work environment is fast-paced and entrepreneurial, yet collaborative and fun, including monthly potlucks and team events. Responsibilities:
Recommend visual design and branding changes for website components and existing interfaces
Design marketing materials including gift cards, one-pagers, and other promotional materials
Update CEO official webpage with new photos and news
Maintain and update design of CEO blog, Living and Giving
Create CEO powerpoint presentations and visuals for speaking engagements
Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Critical attention to detail
Flexibility and adaptability to change
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator), and Google applications (some training provided)
Prior experience with Salesforce preferred
Experience creating and updating designs in Adobe Photoshop
Meticulous attention to detail
Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with team members
