Volunteers are needed to staff the Venture Outdoors/Kayak Pittsburgh outreach table at Kayak Pittsburgh North Park this summer. Shifts are currently available for Saturdays and Sundays (12 - 3pm OR 3 - 6pm) from May until September.
You'll help us spread the word about Venture Outdoors and Kayak Pittsburgh outing and rental opportunities throughout the summer and receive free kayaking vouchers for helping!
Volunteers will be seated at a table near the entrance to the boathouse - you will encounter sun during your shift.
1 - 2 volunteers are needed per shift.

We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting everyone to the benefits of outdoor recreation throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania. We provide a variety of activities that inspire an active lifestyle, promote the region’s unique amenities, highlight its excellent quality of life, and foster a greater appreciation for the environment.
Description
Venture Outdoors offers over 500 public programs each year to people of all ages, skills, and backgrounds. Our year-round outings include hiking, biking, caving, rock climbing, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, geocaching, kayaking, and more!
We also bring the Banff Mountain Film Festival to Pittsburgh each year and present our annual free and open-to-the-public Venture Outdoors Festival each May at Point State Park.
Each May through October, we also operate two Kayak Pittsburgh locations (North Park and North Shore) renting kayaks, bikes, and more to the public.
