Our donation center aims to help homeless and previously homeless individuals stay warm and clean. While individuals are without a home, they can receieve basic care items like warm clothes, health/hygeine items, and many other essentials. This important tool also provides necessary materials for these individuals to start and maintain a home. All of this is possible due to our donation center!
Volunteers will be asked to help with a variety of tasks, including receiving donations, taking and processing phone orders, and packing orders for delivery.

Description
Porchlight was created in 2004 by the merger of two well-established and successful non-profit providers of emergency shelter and low-cost housing in Dane County: Community Housing & Services, Inc. (CHAS) and Transitional Housing, Inc. (THI)
Porchlight is the largest supplier of low-cost housing in Dane County and is comprised of an emergency shelter for men, Safe Haven (housing and intensive services for men and women suffering from serious mental illnesses), 172 single room or efficiency units and 55 family units.
