Hospice of the Miami Valley is looking for pet companion volunteers to visit our patients in assisted living and skilled nursing facilities in Springfield and surrounding areas. When you bring a pet to visit, you will be providing valuable social and emotional support to resident animal-lovers.
You may volunteer as often or as little as you like, and we’ll pair you with the facility that is closest to you. We provide training and will travel with you for initial visits, until you are comfortable working on your own. We ask that your pet is at least one year old, has received (or is in the process of) training/certification for animal assisted therapy, and is current on shots.
Would you like to join our team? If so, please contact Virginia Noble, Volunteer Coordinator, at 937-521-1444 or noblev@homv.org
