You can set your days and hours to help a cancer patient get to and from their cancer related treatmens or appointments. You will literally be a life-saver for someone.

The American Cancer Society Road To Recovery(r) program offers cancer patients free transportation to and from their cancer-related treatment.

For those who cannot drive themselves or have no other means of getting to treatment, volunteers donate their spare time and the use of their personal vehicle to give cancer patients in their community a much-needed ride.

Right now, one of the biggest barriers to cancer care is transportation. Because, even the best treatment can’t work if a patient can’t get there. Family and friends may help, but over the course of several months, they may not always have the time or financial means to provide every ride.

That’s why a successful transportation assistance program can be a tremendous asset to the community. And why we need your support and a little of your time.

Training is provided and you decide to accept or decline each ride that is needed.
