ElderNet of Lower Merion and Narberth needs volunteers to help out at the Ada Mutch Community Resource Center food pantry on Tuesdays from 10 am to noon, and on Thursdays from 2 pm to 4 pm. This volunteer position is best suited for someone who is able to carry items up and down stairs, and who is very comfortable working with a low-income population comprised of adults of all ages and backgrounds. As a pantry volunteer, you will help guide clients as they shop through certain areas of the pantry, help older or disabled clients with their grocery bags as needed, help bring in food donations when they arrive, and restock pantry items throughout the shift. It's very important to us that our clients feel comfortable and welcomed when they visit our pantry, and we want you to be a part of that! If you have any questions, please email Liz Hill at ehill@eldernetonline.org or call 610-525-0706. Thank you!

Description
ElderNet provides volunteer-based services such as door to door escort driving to medical appointments, grocery stores, banks, pharmacies and other essential errands. We also provide friendly visits or calls, odd jobs, small home repairs, and help with managing checkbooks and bills. These volunteer services are free and available to older and younger disabled adults living in Lower Merion Township or Narberth Borough in Montgomery County, PA. Income guidelines also apply for volunteer-based services. ElderNet also operates a food pantry and provides emergency financial assistance to qualifying Lower Merion Township residents (income and residency restrictions apply). Our information and referral services are open to anyone. We also have new and evolving services that further contribute to helping older and disabled younger adults remain living in their own homes. We collaborate with other agencies and have a very active advocacy committee.
