Every Tuesday evening throughout the school year, the Family Nights Program offers transportation, a warm meal, and age appropriate classes/clubs for the entire family at no cost. Offerings include childcare for younger siblings, as well as classes for older siblings and parents. Dinner is served between 6:00-6:30pm and provides a great opportunity for building community and fellowship. Afterward, students and parents head to their respective classes until 7:45pm. There are 16-18 clubs offered to McClintock Middle School students including Robotics, Quadcopters, NASCAR Ten80, Crafts, Computer Building, Outdoor Leadership, Woodworking and MAD Investigators (mobile app development). Club leaders share their passions and vocations with students helping them to envision future pathways to success. Parent offerings include English as a Second Language, Bible Study, Parent University, and two Pathways Out of Poverty Programs: Gettin’ Ahead in a Just-Gettin’ By World and Women’s Journey. There is also a student store that is open to provide school supplies to students in need at no cost to them. Volunteers are on-site every Tuesday night to help serve meals, provide transportation, lead clubs, provide childcare, and engage students and parents. Volunteers range from college students to retired engineers to full-time professionals to part-time employed.
