Our Fine Arts volunteers will engage Club members in various art projects such as drawing, painting, photography, ceramics, crafts and more. You’ll help to encourage youth to be free in the creative process as well as help to set up and/or clean up our arts room.

Our Clubhouses would like to engage Art Room volunteers Monday through Friday between the hours of 4:00pm - 7:30pm. Volunteer needs and hours may slightly vary by location but the overall goal of sharing your love for the Arts will remain the same at each of our sites.

Mission Statement

True to its mission since 1937, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Los Angeles Harbor helps young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. We achieve this through a commitment to quality programs and services in an environment that is safe, nurturing and inspiring.

Description

BGCLAH offers assistance to youth, specifically low-income youth. We offer daily programming which includes Academics (tutoring), Athletics (sports leagues, general sports), Arts, STEM, Music, Dance, and College Preparation. We have needs in all program areas in which outreaching for consistent volunteers are vital for our organization to run since our members thrive off of 1-on-1 assistance. We also have a need for our Food Distribution Program (Weekend Wellness) which hosts a once a month distribution for our families and the community facing food insecurity. We need volunteers for this program since it requires a lot more labor and the more hands on deck, the more beneficial it is for our staff and program to run.
