About

Adult volunteers who are skilled with a wide range of dogs, especially pit bull terriers and mixes, are needed on Tuesday morning shifts, from 8am-10am, for at least six months (time off okay for vacations and so forth).

If you are selected, you would be trained in the DEBS philosophy that emphasizes kindness and positive reinforcement with the dogs. If you have experience with clicker training, all the better!

You would typically work with one or two volunteers on your shift and RASKC staff, plus many wonderful- and sometimes challenging- dogs.

Trainings: Attend new volunteer orientation, an all-day training (typically offered on a Saturday on alternating months), plus a training transition shift with an experienced volunteer.

If successful, you would be offered opportunities to participate in small-group coaching sessions- offered monthly- with a professional dog trainer and also other advanced trainings.
