We bring the healing power of nature to people with limited or no access to the outside world: at-risk youth; elders; and people with disabilities. Through regular programs combining seasonal natural materials, live animals, and hands-on activities, we connect individuals with nature’s capacity to heal, teach, and create joy.
We are always in need of animals with therapeutic/educational potential to share at our program sites. We are looking for individuals who are able to either accompany their animal to a site (programs are one hour in length) once a month (more often if willing!) or let us borrow your animal for a program. Small animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, etc. are particularly enjoyed by our program participants.
Your animal does not need to be a certified therapy pet, but we do screen all potential program animals for suitability.
