Friendly Visitor Volunteer
Friendly Visitor Volunteers help to provide Stimulation, Companionship and Support to our ProMedica/ Heartland Hospice Patients and to their families.

If you answered yes to any of these, the Friendly Visitor Volunteer opportunities at
ProMedica/Heartland Hospice may be a perfect fit for you!
NO HANDS-ON CARE IS REQUIRED!
Volunteers socialize with patients and can join them in fun activities WITHOUT giving on-hands care.
You can set your own schedule and designate what geographic areas you are
and are not willing to travel to.
Our office is located in Irwin, PA and we serve patients throughout all of Westmoreland County,
the eastern part of Allegheny County, and sections of Fayette County.

Hospice focuses on enhancing the quality of life, rather than length of life. It neither hastens nor postpones death; it affirms life and regards dying as a normal process.
The hospice program stresses human values beyond the physical needs of the patient. Hospice ensures patients spend their final days in dignity and comfort. ProMedica / Heartland Hospice's program utilizes a team approach to meet the physical, social and spiritual needs of our patients and their families.
