St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is looking for a Volunteer Event Chair for the Charlotte St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer event that takes place in September every year. This position would help full time staff with the recruitment and cultivation of businesses and participants in the Charlotte, NC area interested in helping the mission of St. Jude. They will be instrumental in the creation of a committee. In addition, the Event Chair is responsible for the overall management of the program. He/she serves as the liaison between the committee and ALSAC/ St. Jude. He/she ensures the committee is working as a team and holds them accountable for responsibilities, and setting goals throughout the year. The Event Chair maintains a flow of communication among the committee and is in charge of working with St. Jude to build this event in the Charlotte area.
